10:00 - 11:30 Amanda Aaron Solid Bubble Bath and Bubble Scoops!

Learn to formulate solid bubble bath and bubble scoops! These products are all the rage these days. We'll go over ingredients, hardeners, liquids, formulation, rolling, scooping and troubleshooting. Then we’ll make a batch. Solid bubble bath and bubble scoops are so much fun to make! They are whimsical and adorable. Kids of all ages (even adults) love using them!

Take Your Soap & Product Photography to the Next Level!

Known for her creative soaps and eye-catching photography, Zahida Map will be sharing tips, tricks, and techniques for both iPhone and DSLR cameras. You will learn how to create and use props and backdrops, composition, styling, consistent branding, lighting, and editing your final images. This is an awesome beginner-friendly course designed to help take your soap and product photography to the next level!

Zahida Map is the founder and creative force behind Handmade in Florida, an artisan soap company recognized for its signature swirls, trend-setting designs, and award-winning soaps.

2:15-5:00 pm Live Learning: Join a few of our makers as they give a live demonstration creating signature products that you can add to your repertoire. During the Live Learning time you will be given a download of the recipes and also the marketing workbook with detailed instructions to make and learn at home!Learn how to make 2 different products and learn how to use a marketing plan to help boost your business and social media. 

Jo Haslauer will be presenting a recipe on how to make a solid Face Wash using unique ingredients and even better you get to take a kit to make it at home! (kit included with conference ticket)

Theresa Richard will be presenting 2 recipes on Candle making one is a moisturizing candle that is skin safe, the other is using unique and different waxes to stand out in a sea of candles. and even better you get to take a kit to make it at home! (kit included with conference ticket)

Cheryl Mitchell will be presenting  how to make a marketing plan / social media plan that comes with a great workbook for you to take home! (included with conference ticket)

Stand out by offering something different and unique that makes customers want to have it because it’s so much fun and cool feeling. You will learn how to make jelly soap from a base and a jelly bomb from scratch.

12:30 - 2:00 pm Ariane Arsenault  Let's Make Solid Shampoo & Conditioners

Hosted by the colorful Ariane Arsenault, this demo/class is the starting point to the basic elements of creating hair loving shampoos and conditioners in a solid form.

 A solid shampoo bars is basically a concentrated version of standard shampoo, minus the water and the packaging. Learn about the different surfactants that can be used to make them as well as the different additives, oils and butters that can be best suited for different hair types. To complete this topic, we will also cover the making of a basic solid conditioner to go along with the shampoo.

 I will talk about patents that are around these types of cosmetics (so you know the dos and don’ts) as well as 2 different techniques: Melt & Mold and using a Bath Bomb Press. Ariane will help you choose the right ingredients, moisturizing oils and butters, approved cosmetics colorants, recommended PH range and how to measure it, equipment and tools to get you started as well as eco friendly ways to package solid haircare products. Learn about good manufacturing practices and create your very first batch so you too can proudly make and sell solid shampoos and conditioners.
